Lyanya

Terran scholars have debated for centuries over the nature of the similarity between certain Lyanya subspecies' names and genetic makeup and their Terran animal counterparts. If the Lyanya themselves know anything about it, they aren't saying. The best scientific theories propose that millennia ago, samples of Terran animals were taken from earth, and force-mutated into intelligent bipedal creatures. The specifics on who would or could have done this are totally unknown.

While the different types have different true names, the name "Lyanya" has come to represent the entire species, dispite the different genus represented. The feline Lyanya are the most common, and most often encountered of this elusive, enigmatic species. There are more types than are listed here, but those below are represented from most to least common.
